Membership Application
Membership of the Society is open to any person engaged in the practice of, or interested in, soil science or the scientific study of the soil.

Application for membership can be made online through the "Member Subscriptions" link on the left.

Two financial members of the Society who know the applicant personally must endorse the application.

Please contact Linda Bennison at the Federal Office if you need assistance with the nominations. Reduced subscription fees apply to student and retired membership and overseas members are exempted from the IUSS fee.

The membership year is from January 1 to December 31 with new members joining between July and November able to pay one-half of the annual membership fee as pro-rata membership dues.

 

Payment of Membership Fees
Membership of the Australian Society of Soil Science Inc is on a calendar year with the annual subscription fees due before March 31 annually.

The Australian Society of Soil Science Inc is now using online registration and payment of membership subscriptions through Conference Online.

Whilst this software is primarily designed for conference registration the society has been able to make some changes to the online form for ASSSI purposes. It is envisaged that the online option will be more convenient for members and reduce time and costs for both the society and members.

Members can pay using credit card, cheque or direct deposit; instructions are provided on the Conference Online ASSSI registration web page when you click on the appropriate link.

Members without email or web access will continue to have their membership renewals posted to them.
