Fact sheets
Many organisation's have produced useful fact sheets about soils and the issues that affect them. Links to some of these sites are provided below. The Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries web site (www.agriculture.gov.au) provides an easy way to search on-line for many topics, and leads to many of the sites listed below.
If you have difficulty accessing the Internet, tools such as Prime Notes (a cd) may be useful. Prime Notes CD-ROM is a single point of access to information for agriculture and natural resource management from 15 government departments and centres, information organisation's and research and development corporations, Australia-wide. The May 2004 version has more than 5300 fact sheets.
The CD is updated annually and is a valuable information resource for primary industries, rural communities, consumers, farm foresters and natural resource managers. Many of the fact sheets on the CD relate to soils and their management.
